Sam & Eric

Vintage. Colorful. Unique. Fun. Rad ——Sam, the amazing bride game me these terms for a feel….I think we nailed it. Ridiculously amazing images by :

Melissa Robotti

Sam wanted a vibrant, colorful bouquet that had to have a blue hydrangea ( come on it was on the cape!) dahlias in every color , interesting textures, oh and raspberries. I love the black chocolate  cosmos, the petals of the cosmos are like velvet.

For her lovely bridesmaids we did more color and lots of interesting texture, and each bouquet was completely unique to itself:

The centerpieces were a mix of vignettes of found items, vintage bottles and tea jars held blooms, hand-painted table numbers on champagne bottles.

Karla & Phil’s vintage charm…

When I first met Karla and Phil I thought to myself, wow these are two beautiful people, they are going to shine on there wedding day. And shine they did.  Stunning wedding, photos by the very talented Lev Kuperman.

Her bouquet filled with stock, lavender roses, garden echinops, freesia, scabiosa, ferns, black-eyed-susan pods,  and heirloom roses in creams and whites.

Grooms boot n’ ear was pale lavender scabiosa, dusty miller leaf and accent of garden variety echinops, touch of a peacock feather in there too. Wrapped in raffia twine.

Vintage tie clips for the gents escort card….Those tabs where hand soaked in tea by the groom to get just the right  ”vintage” tone. Brilliant!

Bottles and blooms dotted the tables, books piled high for table numbers and vintage doilies abound….

LOVE this one:

We did a large grouping of mason jars along the sea wall for a nice twinkle as the sun dropped in the sky.

Laura & Billy = ♥

When I met Laura I was overcome with her fun-loving, vibrant and down-right cool vibe. When she said she wanted me to make the Salon at Belle Mer look like the Vermont forest I was more overcome also, with joy! Lets do this I thought. She wanted flowers and lots of color but only with the bridal bouquets. Can you stand how lovely these two are?! Photos by  the beyond talented Jen at Zenobia Studios.

Coco style all the way

Brave style, high-impact, dramatic, luxurious and unusual. These where the first terms I heard from the brides mother about what the wedding should evoke. I really liked the first one, “brave-style” and was instantly engaged….

Laser cut runners….

silver and sun

The wedding season seems to move at its own rate, unique to itself, a blur of blooms and smiles, cameras and chuppahs, heels and fabulous suits. All our bridal partys  have been looking so good, and then you pin a boot n’ ear on em’ and hand them a bouquet and it really does feel like placing a cherry on top of a huge pile of whip cream….under which is of course,  ice cream. Hmmmm ice cream, my favorite. Mercury glass is great, mixed with green and white blooms, a touch of succulents, dried star tulip blooms and grape-wood, it has its own cherry on top kind of a feel.
